Vintage School Gym Bench Upholstered Green Leather Chesterfield Style w/buttons
This is a truly one-off piece of furniture!
A beautiful bench for a stylish home to sit and carefully take off those muddy boots!
The wooden base was the bottom half of a piece of vintage school gym equipment which has been stripped, sanded and finished with wax polish whilst still retaining the marks and patina that tell of a lifetime of use by thousands of schoolchildren. It has been repurposed into a stylish and beautiful bench seat with and upholstered seat of green leather in a Chesterfield style comprising of 52 buttons in matching green leather. There were two small holes in the hide that have been closed up. It even has the original rubber feet that have been cleaned up and reattached with brass dome headed screws rather than the original nails.
This one has been a real labour love and would look stunning in a large hallway or bedroom. We'll be sad to see this one go but equally as happy for it to find a home where it can shine and make its mark.
