FAQs

How much does it cost to deliver?

PALLET / LOCAL DELIVERY

Any large items bought from us can be dispatched using a nationwide pallet delivery service with prices starting from £49.95. this is just an ESTIMATE so we kindly ask you contact us for a quote prior to buying so you know the actual costs. We are based on the South Coast so the delivery costs tend to be higher the farther north, east or west you are from us.
Eg.  to Cambridgeshire could be around £75, to Wales around £70-£80, Scotland and the highlands up to around £90-£100+. London postcodes are higher so if you're in London it is best to contact us first for a quote.

If you are reasonably local (we allow a radius of 15 miles of SO22) we are happy to deliver it personally in our van for a small fee.

 What is a pallet delivery?

Pallet delivery is a kerbside drop service only. The item will be delivered to you on a pallet and wrapped to the pallet, the delivery driver is unable to help with lifting once the pallet is delivered due to their insurance restrictions. Your purchase will be taken as close to your door as the driver can get it, but in reality it is a kerb side drop service so you may need help at your end to move it to where you want it. If you live above ground floor level the pallet will be placed as close to your main door at ground level.

What payment methods do you use?

Our preferred payment method if having the item delivered to you is Paypal and this is set up as default the payment method on our site.

Delivery is not shown when i pay, how much is it?

In each item we show the price and then the delivery price. So for example if a chair is £50.00 it will show the price is £99.95 including delivery (of £49.95). So when you go to checkout the price is already included.

Once we know where you live that delivery price may alter. This is because at the point of sale we do not know where you live and we don’t have a live delivery quote system. So once you buy, we go and get a quote. Then we come back to you and check you are happy (receive any funds or refund you if smaller) and then it is despatched!

If i collect, can i pay cash or card?

Our preferred payment method, if having the item delivered to you is Paypal or credit/debit card over the phone (using iZettle payment service). If collecting in person then we would prefer cash on collection.

If i buy more than 1 item, is it cheaper?

We are happy to combine multiple purchases from ourselves to be sent on the same pallet as long as they all fit on the pallet/pallets you are paying for. It could be lots of smaller items or a few larger items. the maximum pallet sizes are 1200mm x 1000mm with a max height of 2000mm. (1.2m x 1m x 2m high). which is quite a lot of space so the more you buy the cheaper the delivery works out.

What happens if i don’t like it and want a refund?

We would be sad to hear you don’t want the item but we would ask you to get in touch with us to discuss.

It has arrived and it is damaged. What do i do?

Oh dear that doesn’t sound great. Please do contact us if that happens. We do take great care in wrapping and take photos to show you how it looked when it left. If it arrives and it is damaged we will discuss with you and the courier about the next steps.

Before you buy, please contact us

As we say on all of our items we put in standard P&P assuming £49.95 charge for kerbside pallet delivery. However, this price can alter once we know your postcode. We have given examples of the prices that increase so we will come back to you with a revised price for delivery before we deliver.

We will not deliver until you confirm you are content with the revised delivery price and pay the difference (if any). If you are unhappy with the revised price then we will of course refund you asap!

Why would the delivery price change dependant on where i live?

We are a small family business so we do not have a dedicated delivery service. Therefore we are reliant on using national providers such as DHL, Hermes, Pallet Ways and National Pallets. These prices vary regularly so we search around for the best price at the time you buy

Can i use my own courier?

Absolutely yes. Just let us know who the courier is, when they are picking up etc. Also whether the courier will be wrapping the item further. Often couriers have blankets and ropes to secure the item. But we like to check to ensure everything arrives safely!

If you wish to arrange your own courier, we can recommend www.shiply.com or www.silversprint.co.uk

It has a mark or is damaged

Our furniture is often restored so it could be this was an existing mark or damage. If it is an existing mark we always show the photo on the site so you know before you buy. If you have purchased the item and it was a known mark or damage we would hope you would enjoy this part of the furniture as it tells a storage of its live.
