Vintage Industrial Factory Metal & Wood Machinists Engineers Stool
This wonderfully aged and patina'd engineers stool came from the Railway Works in Eastleigh. The wear and patina on the painted metal frame is wonderful, showing layers of green and blue paint. It has been cleaned, sanded, cleared of surface rust then finished with a couple of layers of clear lacquer to protect the finish. The seat pad was missing so it has been replaced with new plywood and upholstered with new 2' foam and a genuine leather cover. The pad is secured to the frame with reclaimed brass screws and the feet have felt covers to protect and floor the stool sits on.
